Post paid you should have a Korean credit card or
leave some deposit (around W200.000)

Hoan if you have a handset then i should go service center which SK, or KTF, or LG and so on. and try to tell in korea what i'd like to get new number that is free only you will pay for prepaid card it's 10 000 won one month. that's it. good luck
